Lofoten Islands

Highlights

  • Haukland Beach - One of Lofoten's most immediately recognizable beaches. In winter the draw is not swimming but the contrast of pale sand, steel-blue water, snow lines, and a wide open bay that announces your arrival into the archipelago.
  • Uttakleiv Beach - More dramatic and distinctly northern than Haukland, with rocky foregrounds, a crescent bay, and sharper mountain lines. When the weather clears, it becomes one of the strongest coastal scenes between sunset, blue hour, and early night.
